Scott Towle’s Bio

Scott is an ultra marathoner and an Ironman and when he’s not working or leading trips, you'll find him pounding out runs on the streets of new york, cranking out miles on his bike, or racing somewhere. The tougher the challenge, the more appealing. Scott is also an adrenaline junkie having been whitewater rafting, rock climbing, caving, sky diving, hang gliding, ice climbing and even ran with the bulls in Pamplona. Scott’s hiking resume includes adventures in Texas, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, New Mexico, Missouri, Arizona, Nevada, California, Oregon, Washington, Alaska, British Columbia, Yukon Territory, England, and Iceland.

Scott grew up in Texas with a passion for adventure, a love for the outdoors, and an obsession with running. Scott attended Texas A&M University for both his undergrad and graduate degrees and it was during his time at A&M the he ran his first two marathons and completed his first triathlon. After college Scott spent 2.5 months cycling from Austin, Texas to Anchorage, Alaska to raise money for the American Cancer Society, and lived in a platform tent on a lake in Maine with no electricity for 3.5 months while teaching tennis and leading day hikes. Scott has over 3 years of experience guiding trips in New York, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine.
