Join us for a great hike and an amazing setting for a Yoga class. We'll hike to the top of Schunemunk Mountain where our professional instructor will lead you through a Yoga class and afterwards you can relax and enjoy a gourmet backcountry meal. The hike itself is a relatively steep climb followed by a ridge walk with sweeping views of the Hudson Valley, Catskills, and the Shawangunks. Explore the beautiful pink rock of this prehistoric beach where scrub oak and pine trees now grow and wild blueberries can be picked right off of the trail during the late Spring and early Summer. Standing alone between the mountains of the Hudson Highlands and the Shawangunks, Schunemunk Mountain is a rewarding adventure that will provide you with great stories and amazing photos. |

We'll hike over 3 of the tallest peaks in the Catskills on this 2 day / 1 night backpacking trip. If you're looking to get into backpacking or just want to breath some fresh air for a weekend, this is the trip for you. Take in the views that inspired John Burroughs to write "The works of man dwindle, and the original features of the huge globe come out. Every single object or point is dwarfed; the valley of the Hudson is only a wrinkle in the earth's surface. You discover with a feeling of surprise that the great thing is the earth itself, which stretches away on every hand so far beyond your ken." Includes transportation, licensed guides, and all ON TRAIL meals. |

A relatively short hike to an overlook with an amazing view of the Hudson Highlands. Half of the hike is a moderate climb, with the remainder on old carriage roads. The hike is short enough to make it within range for kids (about 3 miles) but is still rewarding for all. The hike will feature a kid friendly lunch and we will do our best to accomodate any dietary restrictions. This is an event the whole family can share in and it may spark a spirit of adventure in your child. |

Though we normally avoid this hike due to crowds, Winter usually results in the road to the top being closed and scares away most hikers leaving the mountain virtually deserted. We'll hike around historic Hessian Lake and then climb to the top where you will have the opportunity to take in amazing views of the Hudson Highlands, the occasional Bald Eagle, and, depending on the weather, views of the NYC skyline. Depending on conditions we will also hike across the Bear Mountain Bridge to climb Anthony's Nose. INCLUDES SNOWSHOES OR MICROSPIKES (As appropriate for the conditions) |
