Brent Lengel’s Bio

Brenton Christopher Lengel is a playwright, poet, actor, and Appalachian Trail 2000-Miler. He has hiked all 2,176 miles of the Appalachian Nation Scenic Trail, a trek which took him over five months to complete and lead him over the mountains and wilderness of fourteen different states, on foot, from Mt. Springer in Georgia, to the summit of Katahdin in northern Maine. As a writer he has trained under Kentucky Poet Laureate Gurney Norman, and is the author of North to Maine, the first play ever about thru-hiking the Appalachian Trail, (Which has won first runner-up in the James Rodgers National Playwright's competition). He has also spent time as a professional equine handler, and rides both Western and Bareback. Brent has been hiking since he was eight years old, and is thrilled to be able to pass on his love and Enthusiasm for the Outdoors as a certified wilderness guide.
